Types of containers

Dry Van: These are standard containers. Sealed and without cooling or ventilation.
High Cube Containers 40ft standard mostly its main feature is its on height (9.6 feet). Container 1 foot higher than the standard.
Open Top: From the same steps as above, but open at the top. The goods can protrude but in that case supplements are paid depending on how much charge is no longer loaded by this excess.
Flat Rack: They also lack sidewalls and even as cases of front and rear walls. They are used to pay supplements atypical loads and in the same manner that the open top.
Reefer: Refrigerated containers of the same size as the aforementioned (40 feet) but they have a system for keeping the cold or heat and thermostat. Must be connected to the ship and the terminal, even in the truck if possible or in an external generator, operating under three-phase. Some of the brands that are dedicated to manufacture: Carrier, Mitsubishi, Termoking.

Open Side: Its greatest feature is that it is open on one side, measuring 20 'or 40'. Used for larger loads in length can not be loaded by the door of the container.
Tank or Tank Container: for bulk liquid transport. It is contained within a tank of a series of steel beams which delimit one paraledepípedo whose dimensions are equivalent to those of a "Dry go".
